Please read the application process carefully.There are two different processes for Early Childhood and K – Grade 8. Please review the section that is appropriate for your child’s age and grade level.

APPLICATION FOR EARLY CHILDHOOD PreK3 – PreK4

STEP I

  • To apply for admission, please complete and submit application form via email to admissions@transfigurationschoolnyc.org, mail or hand deliver to Transfiguration School – Early Childhood Campus at 10 Confucius Plaza, Lower Level, New York NY 10002

STEP II

Attend our mandatory Open House to learn more about the admission process. You many sign your child up for school-readiness assessment after attending an Open House session.

Assessment Schedule

Friday, March 24, 2017 at Early Childhood Campus – 9:00-10:30am; 11:15-12:45pm; 2:00-3:30pm

Registration

Once your child has been assessed and the following documents submitted, parents will receive one of the following:

  • A letter of acceptance
  • A letter indicating your child has been waitlisted

If your child has been accepted, you will need to submit the following information and payments by the date specified on the acceptance letter. If you do not respond by the date listed on the letter, your child’s seat may be given to a child on the waitlist.

  • Birth certificate (original and one copy)
  • Baptismal certificate (original and one copy)
  • Social Security card (original and one copy)
  • Immunization record (original and one copy)
  • Tuition and fees payable at registration (nonrefundable)

APPLICATION FOR GRADES K – 8

STEP I 

  • To apply for admission, please complete and submit the application form via email to admissions@transfigurationschoolnyc.org, mail or hand deliver to Transfiguration School at 29 Mott Street, New York NY 10013.
  • A copy of the child’s most recent report card and the previous year’s New York State Test results must be submitted with application form.

STEP II

Testing and Interview Schedule

Friday, March 24, 2017 at 9-11am for Kindergarten,  Grade 1 and Grade 2

Friday, March 31, 2017 at 9-11am for Grades 3 -7

Please bring payment for a $50 nonrefundable testing fee.

We encourage all parents to attend an open house to learn more about the admissions process. For those accepted, please review the Parent & Student Handbook for Lower & Upper Campuses.

Registration

Once your child has been tested, the necessary documents submitted and the application fee paid, parent will receive one of the following:

  • A letter of acceptance
  • A letter indicating your child has been waitlisted
  • A nonacceptance letter

If your child has been accepted, you will be asked to submit the following information and payments by the dated specified in the letter of acceptance. If you do not respond by the date listed in the letter, your child’s seat may be given to a student on the waitlist.
