Our Admission Process

STEP I:  Apply for Entry

  • When your child is eligible (reaches school age), complete and submit an application form. Application forms are available on our website www.transfigurationschoolnyc.org or from the school office.

  • Submit electronically to admissions@transfigurationschoolnyc.org or by mail/in person: School Office: 29 Mott Street, NYC 10013 or Fax # (212) 431-8917

  • Submit copies of your child(ren)’s most recent report card (if applicable) and New York State Standardized Test result (if applying for Grade 4-8) with the completed application.

STEP II: Visit the School for an Assessment

  • $50 assessment fee (non-refundable) payable to Transfiguration School for all students.

  • Pre-Kindergarten:

    • Friday, March 16, 2018, 9:00AM-3:30PM, contact (212) 431-8769 to schedule your child(ren)’s appointment.

    • Parent Questionnaire must be completed by February 28th. Assessment Fee must be paid at this time.

  • Grades K-8:

    • Sign-up at the time of your visit or call (212) 962-5265 to schedule your child(ren)’s assessment.

    • Assessment fee due at your scheduled appointment via cash or check.

STEP III: Registration

  • A letter of acceptance or a waitlist letter will be sent shortly after the assessment.

  • If your child is accepted you must submit the following records and required payments within two weeks of the date on your acceptance letter:

    • Birth Certificate (original and copy)

    • Baptism Certificate if Catholic (original and copy)

    • Health Examination Form (original and copy)

Please note the following:

  • TUITION AND FEES ARE NON-REFUNDABLE.

  • Please reference the Tuition and Fee Schedule available on our website or in the school office.

  • Transfiguration School uses SMART TUITION to collect its payments.  Instructions on how to make your payments electronically will be issued at registration.
