The Transfiguration School Summer Institute challenges students in higher level thinking and creative expression. Students are introduced to the Common Core Standards for the first units in ELA and Math for the grades they will be entering in September. Students engage in observation and experimentation in science, problem solving in mathematics, analysis and criticism in literature and writing, artistic expression through art and the application of technological skills.
An important element of the Summer Institute is the unique opportunity to explore several New York City landmarks. Whether it’s the many world-renown museums, zoos or ballparks students get a first-hand experience of culture in one of the most diverse cosmopolitans in the world. After school program electives this year include art, music & movement and chess.
Applications (K through 7) for Transfiguration School students will be on a first come, first served basis until March 17, 2017. After that, registration will be opened to the community. Applications must include a $700 non-refundable deposit to ensure a place in the program. The balance of the full cost will be due by Friday, May 19, 2017.

After School: 3:00 pm – 6:00 pm
Summer Institute Grade 1-7: $1,020 per child (8:30 am – 3:00 pm)
Summer Institute After School Grade 1-7: $375 (3:00 pm – 6:00 pm)
